FAQs
Have your Kings and Queens been health tested?
Yes, all Kings and Queens have been tested for health-related diseases and genetic issues. Our Kings and Queens have all tested negative for HCM and PKD. All of our cats receive regular veterinary check-ups, dental check-ups, and required vaccinations. Our breeders are also tested for viral related diseases such as FIV and FeLV.
What vaccinations will my kitten have when he/she arrives? Will he/she be microchipped?
Your kitten will receive all age-appropriate vaccines including FVRCP and potentially rabies (rabies is an age-dependent vaccine). We deworm all of our kittens and provide flea/tick treatment as a preventative. Your kitten will receive a health check, and certified vet records will be provided.
Your kitten will be microchipped, and you will be provided with their number and instructions on how to register your kitten’s microchip.
Do you provide a health guarantee and contract?
We provide a one-year health guarantee. Details regarding our health guarantee will be provided in our contract. We are happy to answer any questions about this.
When can I take my kitten home?
You can pick up or we can have your kitten delivered at 12 weeks of age. We keep kittens until 12 weeks as their mom is busy nurturing and socializing them until that point. This also gives us time to ensure your kittens receive the proper vaccinations. With regards to transportation, you are free to come and pick-up your kitten in Raleigh, NC. We can also coordinate with a transport organization for long-distance deliveries. Many of our customers fly into the local airport, Raleigh-Durham International (RDU), and we meet them to deliver their kitten.
I have heard that Siberians are better for people with cat allergies. Is this true?
Siberians have a lower level of Fel d 1, the protein in a cat’s saliva, skin, and urine which spreads to fur and dander. We did choose the Siberian breed because of our own family allergies, and we have placed many kittens with families with allergies. With that said, depending on your allergy levels, there is not a 100% guarantee that you won’t have a reaction. We can provide a fur test, and we can discuss Fel d 1 testing with you. In addition, many of our customers use food toppers and specifically formulated food to reduce the level of Fel d 1 in their cat’s saliva. We are happy to share what we have learned about managing our own allergies over the years.
What is in your contract?
Our goal is to safely preserve the health and welfare of our kittens and cats, and the Siberian breed. We require all customers to sign a contract that covers multiple areas. Following is a summary:
Our contract covers our one-year health guarantee against congenital defects and any severe health conditions that warrant a kitten or cat unfit for sale. See our contract for details.
You agree your kitten will be an inside cat unless supervised. Many of our customers have catios and participate in outdoor activities with their cats - this is encouraged.
You are not a breeder. We do not sell kittens or cats with breeding rights.
You agree to spay/neuter your kitten by 8 months of age.
We know that sometimes unfortunate circumstances occur. If you find yourself in a situation where you need to rehome your pet, we will take your kitten/cat back and manage the rehoming process.
How much are your kittens?
Our kittens are generally priced at $2,600 USD. This does not include delivery transportation if needed.
Kittens that are extremely rare in color may be priced slightly higher. In addition, we do rehome our retired breeders which are priced accordingly.
Can I visit your cattery?
The best way to visit our cattery is via Facetime. If you have never used Facetime, we can walk you through the process. We can also set up a Google Meet link if preferred. That way we have the ability to chat with you face-to-face, show you some of our breeder cats, and kittens if available, and you can see where our cats reside - in our home and theirs.
If you are considering the Siberian breed because you suffer from cat allergies, we can mail you a fur test and will consider an in-person visit. For the safety of our cats and kittens, we are closed to the general public.

How can I spot a scam cattery on the internet?
Unfortunately, some catteries are a scam. These catteries are set up to look like real catteries, and it is heart-breaking. We have met buyers who have lost money, so we have provided this information in our Q&A. There are some lists of scam catteries and we do keep one of our own. If you have been researching other catteries and suspect one is a scam, contact us and we are happy to help you.
Some signs that a cattery is a scam are the following:
Pricing is too good to be true. The price of a quality Siberian kitten from a reputable breeder is typically between $2,000 and $3,000 USD. If a cattery is asking for $500 or even $1,000 for a kitten, it is typically a scam. You could see retired breeders or rescued Siberians for this price, but if the price is low, you need to understand why.
You are not able to Facetime your breeder. Minimally, you need to speak to someone over the phone; however, it is better to Facetime the breeder. With regards to visits, some catteries are closed and won’t schedule visits for the safety of their kittens, but there is no reason why a breeder can’t Facetime or schedule a video chat with you. While all breeders should be registered with the appropriate registering organizations, unfortunately paperwork can be forged, so publicizing their TICA and WCF registration is a plus, but no guarantee.
Cats can be transported to you within 24-48 hours from a distance. While sometimes possible, it’s not probable. We use a specific transport service for our breeder cats, and it takes time to schedule.
Check for social media pages and ask for referrals. All catteries, at least in the United States, have related social media pages. Check your social media sources to validate the cattery in which you are interested.
